How we handle your data.

BrainBuild EOOD, based in Sofia, Bulgaria, runs this website. This page explains what we collect when you visit it or when we email you, why, how long we keep it, and how to opt out. Questions go to [email protected].

When you visit this website

We keep a simple log of visits, so we know which pages are useful and which businesses are interested in our work. For each visit we record:

  • the pages you open, how long you spend on each part of a page, how far you scroll, whether you play the video, and the links and buttons you click;
  • whether you reach the booking calendar or book a call;
  • the page or link that brought you here, including any campaign tags in that link (for example from one of our emails);
  • your approximate location (city, region and country) and your network provider, which our host Cloudflare works out from your IP address;
  • your browser, device type, screen size, language and timezone.

What we don’t do:

  • We don’t use cookies for this, and nothing is stored in your browser.
  • We don’t store your IP address in the log. It is only used, for a moment, to tell one visit apart from another, through a one-way code that changes every day.
  • We don’t use advertising trackers, follow you to other websites, or sell or share the data.

If we emailed you

We sometimes email businesses whose work fits what we build. We use business contact details from public sources and business-data providers: name, work email, company and role. A link in our email can carry a tag, so we can see that a visit came from that email. Reply “stop”, or write to [email protected], and we won’t contact you again. Ask, and we’ll delete your details.

Why, and on what basis

We rely on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in understanding interest in our services and following up with businesses that may want them. We don’t use this data for anything else.

Who helps us

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and provides the approximate location.
  • Supabase stores the visit log, in the EU (Frankfurt).
  • Telegram delivers our notifications about visits.
  • Calendly runs the booking calendar. When you use it, Calendly’s own privacy policy applies.
  • The service we use to send our emails, if we emailed you.

How long we keep it

Visit records are deleted automatically after 12 months. Contact details from our emails are kept until you ask us to stop, or until we no longer need them.

Your choices

Visit logging is on for this browser.

Switch it off and we won’t log your visits from this browser. Your choice is saved in this browser, and nothing else is.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or to the data protection authority where you live.
